Knopietoekennings Die knopietoekennings werk soos volg: Aanprysings Die doel met aanprysings en tugmaatreëls is om: • Leerders tot verantwoordelike, selfstandige besluitneming op te voed. • ‘n Sterk pligsbesef by leerders te kweek.   1.1 Kategorieë vir aanprysing   1.   Goeie gedrag 2.   Positiewe gesindheid 3.   Deursettingsvermoë 4.   Eerlikheid 5.   Netheid  6.   Beste gelewer 7.   Skoolwerk elke dag gedoen       (Maks. 2 x per kwartaal toegeken) 8.   Deelname : Sport/Kultuur per kwartaal 9.   100% Skoolbywoning per kwartaal 10. Hulpvaardigheid (Binne/Buitemuurs) 11. Prestasie op Sport- en Kultuurgebied 12. Klasleier / Leierskap 13. Goeie vordering op akademiese gebied  –  10 % + meer in ‘n vak. (1 inskrywing per kwartaal) 14. Akademies : 85% + op Rapport   1.2 Hantering / optrede ten opsigte van aanprysing   • Aanprysings word op ‘n daaglikse basis in die Gedragskode aangeteken . • Die Adjunk-hoof sal weekliks leerlinge roep wat aanprysings ontvang het. Leerlinge sal   soos volg erkenning kry :  Vir elke 6 knopie-aanprysings sal hy/sy erkenning kry : ~ Groen - 6 aanprysings ~ Brons - 12 aanprysings ~ Silwer + SPUR-toekenning - 18 aanprysings ~ Goud + Sertifikaat - 24 aanprysings ~ Diamant - 30 aanprysings • Vorm A sal aan ouers uitgegee word om hul in te lig rondom die leerder se spog-knopie. • Aanprysings is oordraagbaar na ‘n volgende kwartaal. • Die finale toekenning van ‘n knopie-aanprysing sal bepaal word deur die hoeveelheid kategorie 1, 2 en 3 oortredings wat ‘n leerder begaan het. Commendations The purpose of commendations and punishment rules: • To educate learners towards responsible, independent decision-making • To nurture a strong sense of duty   1.1 Categories for commendations   BUTTON-AWARDS  1.   Good behaviour 2.   Positive attitude 3.   Perseverance 4.   Honesty 5.   Neatness x 6.   Best effort 7.   School work completed every day      (awarded maximum 2 x per term) 8.   Participation in Sport / Culture during term 9.   100% School attendance per term  10.  Helpfulness (Curricular/Extra-curricular) 11.  Achievement in Sport and Culture 12. Class leader / Leadership 13. Academic Progress – 10% + per subject (1 per term) 14. Academic : 85% + on Report   1.2 Management / actions in terms of commendations • Commencements are being recorded daily. • The Deputy Principal will summon learners with commendations to his office on a weekly basis. He/she will then be rewarded by means of a colour button for four or more commendations:  ~ Green - 6 commendations  ~ Bronze - 12 commendations  ~ Silver & SPUR-award - 18 commendations  ~ Gold + Certificate - 24 commendations  ~ Diamond - 30 commendations • Parents will receive a letter (Form A) to inform them about their child’s achievement. • At the end of each term commendations received will be carried forward to the next term. • Before a learner will receive a Button-award, the amount of category 1, 2 and 3 offences will be   taken into account for a final decision.
